Moonsoon Plantation Drive 2025 at District Dir Upper

Under the esteemed direction of Deputy Commissioner Dir Upper, Mr. Naveed Akbar, and Director, Directorate of Youth Affairs KP, Mr. Noman Mujahid, the Monsoon Tree Plantation Campaign 2025 was formally launched today at the Dir Sports Complex. This initiative was made possible through the collaborative efforts of the District Sports Office, District Youth Office Dir Upper, Forest Department, and District Administration Upper Dir.

The ceremony was graced by the presence of distinguished guests, including Additional Assistant Commissioner Upper Dir, Mr. Sohail Ahmed, District Sports Officer, Mr. Siddiqullah, District Youth Officer, Mr. Shahzad Tariq, Divisional Forest Officer Upper Dir, Mr. Younas Khan, MPA Focal Person, Mr. Sangin Khan, and Youth Councilor Pinakot, Mr. Sohail. The campaign was inaugurated with the symbolic planting of over 50 fruit and indigenous trees.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from students of Jamia Abdullah Ibn Masood Dir Upper, youth from local madrasas, athletes, social workers, civil society representatives, and individuals from diverse backgrounds. This collective effort underscored the growing awareness about the importance of tree plantation and environmental stewardship.

In their addresses, the speakers emphasized the significance of trees, the far-reaching consequences of climate change, and the vision of a Green Pakistan. They urged the youth to not only plant trees but also take ownership of their protection, recognizing it as a collective responsibility.
