Session on Data Science With R at District Dir Upper
In pursuance of directives from Deputy Commissioner Dir Upper, Mr. Naveed Akbar, and Director, Directorate of Youth Affairs, Dr. Noman Mujahid, the Department of Management Sciences, Shaheed Benazir Bhutto University (SBBU) Sheringal, in collaboration with the District Administration and District Youth Office Dir Upper, successfully organized a Two-Week Training Program on "Data Science with R" – an introductory R programming course for beginners. The program, held at SBBU Sheringal, witnessed the participation of over 100 enthusiastic students.
The training featured esteemed guest speakers, including Dr. Fazli Haleem, who delivered an insightful session on Data Visualization with ggplot2,and Dr.Wajid Raza, who provided a comprehensive introduction to R software, R Studio, packages, libraries, data structures, and logical and conditional structures in R.
Prof. Kaleem Jan, the chief guest, emphasized the significance of such positive initiatives in enhancing students' skills and highlighted the importance of data science with R in the current job market. He also underscored the expected outcomes of this training program.
District Youth Officer Dir Upper, Mr. Shehzad Tariq, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to all participants for their hard work, passion, and dedication, which led to the successful completion of the program. He also extended his appreciation to the trainers and the SBBU Sheringal administration for their invaluable cooperation.
A engaging question-and-answer session followed, during which students posed pertinent questions to the master trainers. The students expressed their sincere gratitude to the District Youth Officer for arranging this fruitful and informative training.
In the closing ceremony, the District Youth Officer distributed course completion certificates to the participants and honorary shields to the guests and other prominent figures, marking the successful culmination of the program.
