Youth Business Expo 2025 at District Dir Upper
The District Youth Office Dir Upper successfully organized the Youth Business Expo 2025 in collaboration with the Department of Management Sciences, Skil Society SBBU Sheringal, Directorate of Youth Affairs KP, and District Administration Dir Upper . The event took place at the SBBU Sheringal main ground and library hall.
The expo was inaugurated by esteemed guests, including Ex-MPA Mr. Bacha Saleh, Assistant Commissioner Sheringal Mr. Fayyaz Khan, Chairman Sheringal Mr. Shah Wali Khan, Dr. Fazal Halim, Dr. Wajid Raza, Prof. Karim Jan, and other faculty members. Over 50 stalls were installed, showcasing Dir Upper's local products, such as traditional handicrafts, organic food items, and cultural artifacts. The stalls also featured innovative business ideas, a gaming zone, and various competitions. College students participated in a science competition, displaying impressive models that garnered significant appreciation from the audience. More than 200 students and local entrepreneurs participated in the expo, presenting their products and services.
During the event, Youth Officer Mr. Shehzad Tariq provided an overview of the exhibits to visitors, highlighting the region's unique cultural heritage and entrepreneurial spirit. The expo aimed to promote Dir Upper's local industries, such as its renowned walnut and pine nut products, as well as its beautiful handicrafts.
The concluding ceremony was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Relief Dir Upper, Mr. Sher Ali Khan, along with Chairman Sheringal Mr. Shah Wali Khan, Chairman Sangeen Khan, Ibrar Wardak, Bilal Tajik, Dr. Wajid Raza, Dr. Fazal Halim, Prof. Karim Jan, and other faculty members. The event commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by Pakistan's national anthem.
The chief guests highlighted the expo's objective to expose students to innovative business ideas beyond educational activities. They emphasized the importance of e-commerce and technology in today's era, encouraging students to focus on these fields.
At the conclusion, chief guests and the District Youth Officer presented certificates of appreciation to organizers and participants, while honorary shields were presented to guests and prominent individuals.
