Youm-e-Istehsaal Kashmir Observed – 5th August 2025

Today, on 5th August 2025, Youm-e-Istehsaal was observed with solemnity and national spirit to mark the completion of six years since the unilateral and illegal abrogation of Article 370 by the Indian government, which revoked the special status of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu & Kashmir (IIOJK). The day serves as a stark reminder of the ongoing occupation, continuous human rights violations, and India's persistent denial of the Kashmiri people's right to self-determination, as enshrined in United Nations Security Council resolutions. The event aimed to express unwavering support for the people of Kashmir and to denounce the systematic oppression, communication blackouts, arbitrary detentions, and suppression of civil liberties in the region.

The event began with one minute of silence, observed in solidarity with the martyrs and oppressed people of Kashmir. This was followed by a brief yet impactful lecture delivered by Director Youth Affairs, who highlighted the importance of the day, the historical context of the Kashmir dispute, and the ongoing struggle of Kashmiris against illegal occupation and tyranny.

After the lecture, a solidarity rally was conducted in which participants loudly chanted slogans in favor of Kashmir’s freedom and condemned Indian atrocities. The rally resounded with calls for justice, peace, and the implementation of UN resolutions regarding the right of Kashmiris to decide their future through a free and fair plebiscite.

The entire program was aimed at raising awareness, showing unity with our Kashmiri brothers and sisters, and urging the international community to break its silence and play its role in ending the prolonged injustice in Kashmir.
